A extraordinária "PJ Harvey" enquanto não edita "Let England shake" a 14/2/2011, editando videos para os seus temas: "The Last Living Rose" e "The Words That Maketh Murder". Pelo que tenho ouvido, vai ser um dos discos que me vai acompanhar este 2011.

Crystal Castles - "Not in Love" with Robert Smith

Um dos melhores (e do qual gosto muito) remixes de "Not in Love" dos "Crystal Castles" que conta com a participação do estupendo "Robert Smith" tem agora video, gravado em estilo "VHS".
One of the best (love it) remixes of "Not in Love" from "Crystal Castles" with the participation of the fabulous "Robert Smith" have now a video, shooting in a grainy VHS-style footage.

Papercuts - Fading Parade

Os "Papercuts" editam o seu 4º disco de originais "Fading Parade" dia 1 de Março de 2011. Para já é possivel ouvir "do what you will", que contará com uma edição limitada no formato 7'' e com um lado b "Thougths on hell". Embora este single não me tenha cativado por aí além, aguardo com expectativa o álbum. Sobretudo depois do decepcionante "You Can Have What You Want" de 2009.
"Papercuts" release their 4Th record "Fading Parade" on March 1st 2011. For now, it's possible to listen "do what you will", that will be release on a limited 7'' edition with a bonus non-track album "Thoughts on hell". Although I'm not very enthusiastic about this song, I have great expectations about the album. Especially after the disappointing 2009's "You Can Have What You Want".

the Kills - Blood Pressures

Não caibo em mim de contentamento: The Kills lançam o seu novo álbum "Blood Pressures" dia 4 de Abril. Ainda não sei nada sobre as novas musicas, a não ser o alinhamento, que está disponível no blog da banda. Escusado será dizer que vou estar muito atendo. Para recordar "Tape Song" do fantástico "Midnight Boom" de 2008.
I'm not in myself with such joy: The kills will release their new record "Blood Pressures" on April 4TH. I don't know anything about the new songs, but the line-up is available on Blog's band. Of course I'll be watching very closely their moves. To remember "Tape Song" from the fantastic 2008's "Midnight Boom".

Ducktails - Ducktails III: Arcade Dynamics

Há algo de saudosismo melancólico na abordagem de um tipo de bandas Americanas do cantão Indie, ao explorarem sonoridades próximas dos "Beach boys" e outras bandas dos anos 50/60 anos, numa espécie de resgate dos tempos gloriosos, imortalizados sobretudo pelas Agencias de Publicidade da época (olá "MadMen", série magnífica). Os "Ducktails" enquadram-se no resgate a esse passado com o seu novo "Ducktails III: Arcade Dynamics", a ser editado a 18 de Janeiro. Para ouvir "Killin' the vibe".
There's a melancholic longing in approach to the music made by one kind of American Indie Bands, by exploring sounds near the "Beach boys" or other bands from decades 50/60, in a kind of rescue of glory days, immortalized by the publicity Agencies (hello "Madmen", fantastic series).
"Ducktails" are in this past rescue with their new album "Ducktails III: Arcade Dynamics", that will be release on January 18Th. To listen "Killin' the vibe".

Ones to Watch: Tall Ships

Apontados como uma das grandes esperanças para 2011, os "Tall Ships" têm em "Chemistry" um excelente cartão de apresentação. Se chegarão à primeira divisão, só o tempo o dirá. Entretanto, no myspace também se ouve "plate tectonics" e "vessels". Pode-se dizer que musicalmente estão póximos de bandas como os "Foals".
Pointed as the "ones to watch" for 2011, "Tall ships" have in their single "Chemistry" an extraordinary presentation card. If they will succeed in music world only time can tell. In the meanwhile, on myspace it's possible to listen "plate tectonics" and "vessels". Musically speaking they are like bands like "Foals".

Deerhoof - Deerhoof Vs. Evil

"Deerhoof Vs. Evil" marca o regresso dos canadianos "Deerhoof", os quais acompanho sempre com muito entusiasmo. Desta vez não é diferente e "Super Duper Rescue Heads" já tem video, correspondendo às minhas expectativas: Canção que parte das fronteiras do território Indie, sendo expandidas vezes e vezes sem conta. O álbum é editado a 25 de Janeiro.
"Deerhoof Vs. Evil" is the new comeback of Canadian band "Deerhoof", whom I watch very closely with joy. This time isn't different and the song "Super Duper Rescue Heads" have a video and fulfill my expectations: a song with borderlines of Indie matrix expanded over and over again. The record will be release on January 25Th.

Peter Bjorn and John - Gimme Some

Os suecos "Peter Bjorn and John" estão de volta com o seu 6º álbum "Gimme Some". A banda que ficou conhecida pela "musica do assobio" - "Young folks", regressa menos electrónica e mais pop-rock, uma investida mais às origens da banda, segundo John. O álbum só sai em Março mas "second chance" já se pode ouvir.
The Swedish band "Peter Bjorn and John" is back with their 6TH album "Gimme Some". The band well known for their whistle single "Young folks", returns with songs less electronics and more Pop-Rock, a sound that leads us back to their early albums, according John. The album only be release on March but we can listen already "second chance".

Braids - Native speaker

A estreia dos "Braids" não podia ser mais apelativa para mim: "Native speaker" percorre os corredores de casas como "Animal Colective", "Atlas sound" e até mesmo dos "Grizzly Bear", sobretudo em "Lemonade", que deixo aqui para ouvirem. O álbum sai já dia 18 de Janeiro.
The Braid's debut couldn't be more appealing to me: "Native speaker" sounds to me like Animal Collective", "Atlas sound" and even "Grizzly Bear", especially "Lemonade” that I leave here to you all enjoys listening. The album will be release in January 18TH.

Starfucker - reptilians

Os "Starfuckers" têm um álbum novo: "reptilians", que sai a 8 de Março. Mais eletrónicas com contornos Indie. Para ouvir "bury us alive".

Yuck - Yuck

Os "Yuck" vão lançar o seu álbum homónimo de estreia a 21 de Fevereiro. "Rubber", "Georgia", "Suicide policemen" e "Weakend" já podem ser ouvidos no Myspaec. São aquele tipo de banda que nos fazem lembrar de tudo um pouco que se fez nas terras de sua majestade, desde a Pop ao Shoegaze passando pela britpop e até uma facção de folk-acustica, tipo Belle and Sebastian. Só mesmo ouvindo. Eis o novo single "Holing Out".
"Yuck" will be release their debut self-title album on February 21st. "Rubber", "Georgia", "Suicide policemen" and "Weakend" can be listened in Myspace's band. They are that kind of band that remind us of every kind of music made in UK, from POP to SHOEGAZE, and BRITPOP and even a nice touch of ACOUSTIC-FOLK, like "Belle and Sebastian". It must be listened. Só a 29 Março é que "Badlands" é lançado mas até lá no myspace pode-se descobrir pequenas pérolas de "Dirty Beaches": "True Blue", "Lord Knows Best", "Coast to Coast" e "night drive". Para ver "west coast bird".
