Bjørn Torske – “Gata”

O Produtor de house music experimental Bjørn Torske lançou um novo single “Gata”, o segundo tema a sair do seu novo álbum Byen, primeiro disco a solo desde Kokning de 2010. Acerca do novo álbum disse:" Enquanto que Byen significa "a cidade" em norueguês, “Gata” significa "a rua". Foi nas ruas de Tromsø que passei a minha juventude uma vez que não havia nenhum lugar para sair." Byen sai a 6 de Julho pela Smalltown Supersound. 

Norwegian experimental house producer Bjørn Torske release a new track “Gata” that is the second single off forthcoming Byen, his first solo LP since 2010’s Kokning. About the album he said: "While Byen means “The City” in Norwegian, “Gata” means “The Street.” This is where the youth of my early years in Tromsø had to spend their evenings since there was no place for them to go." Byen is out 7/6 via Smalltown Supersound.

A cantora Mitski partilhou o mês passado o single de apresentação do seu novo álbum Be The Cowboy “Geyser”, que abre o disco com a densa intimidade que seria de esperar dela. Com este álbum a artista quis desenvolve-lo em torno de "uma mulher fria e reprimida que se começa a revelar." para ver o novo single em baixo "Nobody". 

Mitski shared the lead single for her forthcoming album Be The Cowboy Last month, “Geyser” that opens the LP with the confessional intensity that it would be expect from her. Róisín Murphy lançou dois novos temas no formato 12'' "Plaything / Like". Juntou-se ao produtor Maurice Fulton para o lançamento de quatro 12 '', sendo que o segundo da série está agora disponível online, sendo que Plaything é um dos temas mais contagiantes que a artista tem lançado.

BEAK> – “Allé Sauvage”

Já passou uma década desde que os Portishead lançaram o seu último álbum Third mas Geoff Barrow está sempre a fazer música num lado qualquer. O novo single é o primeiro dos BEAK> desde "Sex Music" do ano passado. “Allé Sauvage” é alegadamente retirado do novo álbum mas não há qualquer indicação de quando surgirá. 

It's been a full decade since Portishead’s last album, Third, but Geoff Barrow is always popping up with new music elsewhere. The new song is BEAK>’s first release since “Sex Music” last year. “Allé Sauvage” is also supposedly from BEAK>’s forthcoming new album, but there’s no more information on that just yet.

Gang Gang Dance - Young Boy (Marika in Amerika)

"Young Boy (Marika in Amerika)" dos Gang Gang Dance retirado do álbum Kazuashita editado esta sexta-feira. A banda considerou este disco mais como uma tentativa de "construir" um mundo melhor do que um escape. A escolha do nome do disco ocorreu após o nascimento da filha do musico e amigo Taka Imamura e que os acompanha nas digressões. O nome resulta numa composição de palavras que traduzido livremente será "Paz Amanhã". 

"Young Boy (Marika in Amerika)" by Gang Gang Dance, from new album Kazuashita, is out now on 4AD. The band, see the album less as an escape, more of an attempt to sire a better world: it’s named after live member Taka Imamura’s new baby, whose name is a play on words roughly translating as “peace tomorrow”.

Mogwai “We’re Not Done”

Os Mogwai compuseram a sua primeira banda sonora para um filme, Kin, um drama sci-fi/crime realizado por Jonathan e Josh Baker. Kin estreia a 31 de Agosto e conta com Jack Reynor, Zoë Kravitz, Carrie Coon, Dennis Quaid e James Franco. A banda já tinha lançado em Abril a primeira faixa "Donuts" sendo que agora podemos ouvir a faixa We're Not Done", que fecha o filme enquanto passam os créditos, sendo a canção perfeita para um filme depois do ecrã se tornar preto. Mogwai has scored its first feature film, Kin, a sci-fi/crime drama, directed by Jonathan and Josh Baker. The band shared the first track "Donuts" in April and have just shared the end title track "We're Not Done", and it certainly sounds like the kind of song that would conclude a movie after everything’s faded to black. Mass Gothic - “J.Z.O.K.”

Os Mass Gothic têm um novo álbum  I've Tortured You Long Enough, e também um novo video para o single  "J.Z.O.K." O disco sai a 31 de Agosto via Sub Pop. O duo é composto pelo antigo membro dos Hooray For Earth Noel Heroux e pela sua esposa Jessica Zambri dos Zambri and Solvey. O duo lançou o su disco homónimo de estreia em 2016 também pela Sub Pop, o qual foi sucedido pelo EP Sub Gogh mais tarde ainda nesse ano. Já este Maio lançaram o single que abre o álbum "Dark Window". 

Mass Gothic have announced a new album, I've Tortured You Long Enough, and shared a video for a new song from it, "J.Z.O.K." I've Tortured You Long Enough is due out August 31 via Sub Pop. The duo features former Hooray For Earth frontman Noel Heroux and his wife Jessica Zambri (of Zambri and Solvey). They released their self-titled debut album on Sub Pop in 2016, which was followed by the Sub Goth EP later that year. Back in May they shared the album's first single (and opening track), "Dark Window".

Deerhoof - Ay That's Me

Novo video par os Deerhoof retirado do álbum Mountain Moves que saiu o ano passado pela Joyful Noise Recordings Acerca do Video Gregory Saunier disse na sua pagina de facebook:" Este video é o resultado de um esforço conjunto da banda que acabou num magnifico resultado, não? Quanto à canção, o processo foi idêntico, a guitarra foi da responsabilidade do Ed, os versos são pela voz do Greg, o refrão é vocalizado pela Santomi e o John."

Deerhoof with "Ay That's Me" off the album Mountain Moves out last year on Joyful Noise Recordings. About the video Gregory Saunier says on his facebook page: "this video was a massive team effort and it turned out magnificently no? song sort of same thing all the guitar parts written by Ed, verse vocal by Greg, chorus vocal by Satomi and John."

 

Foxing - "Slapstick"

“Slapstick” é o primeiro single do terceiro álbum dos Foxing Nearer My God, co-produzido pelo antigo membro dos Death Cab For Cutie, Chris Walla. O disco tem data de lançamento para 10 de Agosto via Triple Crown. Acerca do vídeo o realizador diz: "Quanto tu tens cinco minutos para contar uma história, o "Como" e o "porquê" rapidamente passam a ser elementos inconsequentes - o público é suficientemente criativo para preencher esses espaços, construindo um pano de fundo. o que importa é que as nossas duas personagens - que obviamente estão num bunker, são amigos que dependem um do outro para sobreviver". MorMor - Waiting on the Warmth

MorMor (de seu nome Seth Nyquist) vai lançar esta sexta a 22 de Junho via a sua própria editora, Don’t Guess, o seu EP de estreia, Heaven’s Only Wishful. O artista de Toronto começou a trilhar o seu caminho na música há já algum tempo, mas só começou realmente a editar este ano com os singles “Heaven’s Only Wishful” e “Whatever Comes to Mind.” Agora lança aquele que será o terceiro tema “Waiting on the Warmth.” Produzido e gravado pelo próprio, e a avaliar por estas três canções, o EP promete. 

MorMor (real name Seth Nyquist) will be released next friday, on June 22 ND via his own label, Don’t Guess, his debut EP Heaven’s Only Wishful. Toronto artist started making a name for himself a few years ago, but he really started taking off this year with the release of two singles, “Heaven’s Only Wishful” and “Whatever Comes to Mind.” Now he released a third new single, “Waiting on the Warmth.” He recorded and produced it himself, and going by these three songs, it looks very promising.

 

Chris Liebing - Burn Slow

Um dos pilares da Techno Chris Liebing vai lançar o seu primeiro disco chamado Burn Slow este mês de Setembro. Será lançado pela editora do Reino Unido Mute Records, e que se segue ao single "Novembergrey" lançado em Abril. De acordo com a editora, trata-se de um projecto electrónico minimalista épico e que nasceu a partir da conexão do artista com “os conceitos chave de  presença". A par da divulgação do novo disco, Liebing lançou o video com a participação de Gary Numan, ‘Polished Chrome (The Friend Pt. 1)’, que pode ser visto em baixo. 

Techno mainstay Chris Liebing is releasing his first album, titled Burn Slow, this September. It will be released on UK label Mute Records and follows the ‘Novembergrey’ single he dropped on the imprint in April. According to Mute, the project is a “minimalist electronic epic” and is born out of the producer’s connection to “the key concept of presence”. Ólafur Arnalds ft. SOHN “Unfold” Video

O novo single do produtor e compositor Islandês Ólafur Arnalds conta com a participação do Produtor e compositor Inglês SOHN. "Unfold" é o segundo single do novo álbum re:member, que sai a 24 de Agosto. Acerca do disco, o artista disse: "Este será o meu álbum "sair da concha." Peguei nas minhas influencias de todos os géneros musicais e não as filtrei. Eu espero que gostem tanto de ouvi-lo como eu gostei de fazê-lo."

Icelandic composer and producer Ólafur Arnalds new single featuring English singer-producer SOHN. "Unfold" is the second single from Ólafur's upcoming album re:member, out August 24th.
