The Good, The Bad & The Queen's new album Merrie Land will be out next month, November 16th, self-released on the band’s new Studio 13 label. The album was written in the shadow of a looming Brexit. According to a press release, the album functions as “a reluctant goodbye letter, a series of observations and reflections on Britishness in 2018″ and a “beautiful and hopeful paean to the Britain of today, an inclusive Britain, currently in an Anglo-Saxostentialist crisis at the end of a relationship, wondering what might be salvaged.” Listen below title track.

First new album since 2015’s No No No, Beirut have announced a new album Gallipoli. Zach Condon wrote of the track: “We stumbled into the medieval-fortressed island town of Gallipoli one night and followed a brass band procession fronted by priests carrying a statue of the town’s saint through the winding narrow streets behind what seemed like the entire town. The next day I wrote the song entirely in one sitting, pausing only to eat.” The album will be release next year February 1 St. listen title track below.

Matthew E. White has shared a new protest song, "No Future In Our Frontman," that takes aim at President Donald Trump. It launches a larger project where the song will be covered by 17 other artists, including Natalie Prass, Bedouine, and others. The versions will be spread across three EPs, each one released over the course of the next three Fridays, starting today (October 19) and ending on November 2 (a few days before the midterm elections). In a press release, he said: "I believe that Donald Trump is a corrupt, depraved and incapable leader. Along with being unconscionably egomaniacal, his presidency regularly traffics in our worst prejudices, peddles bigotry, and violently disregards truth by both encouraging ignorance and actively participating in deceit.
