Beirut – “Gallipoli”

Novo álbum desde No No No de 2015, os Beirut anunciaram o seu novo disco Gallipoli. Acerca do tema titulo, Zach Condon escreve: "encontramos por acaso numa cidade medieval na ilha de Gallipoli uma procissão encabeçada por um padre a carregar o santo padroeiro da cidade, pelas ruas sinuosas e estreitas, acompanhados pelo que parecia ser toda a cidade. No dia seguinte escrevi a música de uma assentada, apenas parando para comer." O disco sairá a 1 de Fevereiro do próximo ano. Para ouvir a faixa titulo em baixo. 

First new album since 2015’s No No No, Beirut have announced a new album Gallipoli. Zach Condon wrote of the track: “We stumbled into the medieval-fortressed island town of Gallipoli one night and followed a brass band procession fronted by priests carrying a statue of the town’s saint through the winding narrow streets behind what seemed like the entire town. The next day I wrote the song entirely in one sitting, pausing only to eat.” The album will be release next year February 1 St. listen title track below.
